Wildlife Issues

As with so many other environmental issues, threats to wildlife most often stem from the lack of property rights. NCPA scholars believe that where rights to wildlife are well defined and enforced, property holders have the incentive to protect that wildlife from harm and to improve the habitat upon which wildlife depends because it is in their self interest. Where wildlife has no owner, it has no defender.
